Testament of Alexander Pushkin to the younger generation in the novel “The Captain’s Daughter”
Abstract. The article discusses the theme of the family and the theme of moral education of the younger generation on the example of the novel “The Captain’s Daughter” with referral to Pushkin’s lyrics and letters.

Abstract. The article is devoted to understanding the significance of Gogol in Russian culture. The core directions of Gogol’s creative work are underlined. The defining line of the writer’s development has been outlined from “Taras Bulba” to “Selected places from correspondence with friends”, which are the two most patriotic works in Russian classical literature. The important role of Gogol’s heritage in the cultural self-identification of the people is note.

Abstract. Analysis of religious realities of the M.Y.Lermontov’s poem “I, the Mother of God …” makes it possible to reveal its deep meaning. It shows that the characters of the poem are Varvara Lopukhina, her husband Nikolai Bakhmetev and Lermontov himself (Archangel Michael).

Pavel Petrovich Kirsanov and his place in the conflict in the “Fathers and Sons” novel
Abstract. The article explores the character of Pavel Petrovich Kirsanov, a hero who along with Bazarov, has the right to take center stage in the novel “Fathers and Sons”. Analyzing the features of Turgenev’s creative handwriting and the subtext of the narrative, the author suggests looking at the older Kirsanov as one the best people of his circle in order to understand the evolution and tragedy of his personality.

Abstract. The article features A.Blok’s artistic expression of the urban theme which is one of the main theme in his poetry. Dostoevsky’s traditions in the port-rayal of modern city, primarily Petersburg by A.Blok are explored.

Abstract. The article gives an analysis of the unknown interpretation of A.Blok’s poem “The Girl Sang in the Church Choir …”, proposed by the critic A.A.Ismaylov during the poet’s lifetime. Izmaylov and A.A.Tikhonov-Lugovoy (writer and editor of the “Niva” periodical). The article contains rare quoted archival materials that significantly refine and deepen the reading of the Blok’s poem.
