The problem of will in Goncharov’s novels
Abstract. The author focuses on the question of how I.A. Goncharov interprets the problem of will in the novel “Oblomov” and his other novels.
Keywords: the problem of will and lack of will, active man and a man who is inactive, moral program and its embodiment in life.

At the roots: the concept of revolution in the literature of the 1920’s.
A.Blok, M.Bulgakov, V.Mayakovsky
Abstract. The article deals with the concept of revolution and its representation in the publicism and poetry of A.Blok and M.Bulgakov’s the reaction to it (the novel “Heart of a Dog”, 1925) and V.Mayakovsky (comedy “The Bathhouse”, 1928). Blok regards the revolution as a metamorphosis. The essence of metamorphosis is in the birth of harmony from the chaos, the plot of the poem “The Twelve” is based on this concept. As Blok’s opponent, M.A.Bulgakov shows that chaos threatens to destroy harmony. V.Mayakovsky comes to similar conclusions in the comedy “The Bedbug”.

Abstract. The author shows how V.M.Shukshin combined the simplicity of the stories with the depth of comprehension of life and characters in order to achieve the expressiveness with the utmost conciseness of the narrative, and hopes that his reflections on the key problems of the remarkable writer’s creativity will prove useful for the teachers.

Public reading lessons in the school of the XXIst century
Abstract. The article reveals the methodical design and algorithm for preparing and conducting reading lessons for the gen-eral public during the Year of Literature. Everyone becomes an active reader during these lessons. The experience of public reading in Vyatka Humanitarian Gymnasium is summarized.

Abstract. The article deals with the theme of loneliness and the character development in literature for adolescents and young people in beginning of the XXIth century when main character is a boy: the artistic features and originality of new prose, the ways of posing problems and finding solutions. Simultaneously, the author raises the problem of socialization of the student-reader.

Abstract. On the example of Boris Ekimov’s short story “Under the High Cross”, the teacher builds a conversation with students about moral values, the moral choice of a young man and historical memory.

“The treasured day of the Lyceum”.
October 19th and scientific conferences in the State Museum of A.S.Pushkin
Abstract. The article is devoted to the Imperial Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum, which was attended by the 12 y.o. Alexander Push-kin, who became a famous poet while still studying at the Lyceum. The issues of Lyceum’s educational program are touched upon, special attention is paid to the teaching of literature. The scientific conference dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Pushkin State Museum is reviewed, one of the central themes of which was education (historical aspects and modern ap-proaches).

Abstract. The paper provides an analytical review of Mikhailovsky Pushkin readings which took place on August 23—27 2017 in the State Memorial HistoricalLiterary and Natural-Landscape Museum-Reserve of A.S. Pushkin “Mikhailovsko-ye”. The author draws attention to the issues of the conference and focuses on the most important events and discoveries which Pushkin scholars celebrated in 2017 (the sad date — 100th anniversary of the ruin of noble estates).
