The article attempts to comprehend the question of why in Russian literature of the second half of the twentieth century, food descriptions become rare and mean; an analogy is drawn between the notion of “bread from a quinoa” that came into historical usage and the life of the old Russian saint Prokhor Lebednik.

Abstract. The article is devoted to the use of podcasting technology in the classes of the elective course on modern poetry. This technology is often used for systematic review or studying any topic. In education, podcasting is used in learning foreign languages, but this does not detract from its value in the study of other subjects, for example, in literature classes. This technology allows students to enclose to the modern Russian poetry, to make them participants in the literary and historical process in Russia.

Lesson-symposium as a variety of educational discussion
Abstract. The article offers a methodological justification (definition, model) of an unconventional form of a literature lesson – a symposium lesson. The specificity of the lesson is clarified by the author in comparison with the lesson – the reader’s conference. An example is given of a lesson-symposium in the 11th grade on the theme “The Village Prose of the 1960s and 1980s”.

Lesson on the story of M.A.Sholokhov “The destiny of a human” and the story of V.G.Rasputin “Live and remember. XIth Grade
Abstract. Analyzing the story of Sholokhov and the story of Rasputin, students independently compare the characters and actions of the heroes, analyze episodes, and synthesize various directions of searches. Particular attention is paid to identifying the similarities and differences between a work of art and its interpretation in cinema. As a result, a stable reading interest of high school students in literature is formed, and skills of independent reading and comprehension of a work of art are acquired.

The problem of personality formation is considered through the analysis of the plot and dynamics of the image of the main character. The authors turn to the motive structure of the story, highlighting the interrelated motives of life and death, gaining faith, freedom, loneliness and the need for another.
