Abstract. The article is devoted to the original Krylov’s fables, which reflected historical events of his time and the most important philosophical and social problems. On the basis of in-depth analysis, the ideological content and poetics of the fables are revealed.

The culmination of the drama “The Storm” by A.N.Ostrovsky in the scenery of theatrical productions of the XIX—XXth centuries
Abstract. Images of the destroyed church and two frescoes are important in the culmination of the A.N.Ostrovsky’s play “The Storm”. They create the symbolic background of the play and help to resolve the social conflict in the historical and religious settings. In the first productions of “The Storm” in different theaters, the images of the church and frescoes were embodied in different ways, actualizing certain meanings.

Academic I.A.Goncharov: academic research shortcomings
Abstract. The paper raises the question of the need for deeper and more accurate commenting in the scientific publication about I.A.Goncharov regarding of association with religious texts. It should be noted that the Goncharov’s works and letters are literally riddled with reminiscences from the Old and New Testaments. Some characteristic flaws in Goncharov’s commenting are indicated and corrected.
